EDIT: Drinks4Drinks happened last night, and I didn’t end up making it there (so no photos from me, unfortunately!) but the word is, they raised over $700,000 for Cambodia clean water projects. Way to go Eastlake! So proud of you!

Since August is sneaking up on us, I guess I better invite ya’ll to what is anticipated to be the ‘party of the year’! Eastlake Community Church is throwing a huge benefit event for Charity:Water clean water projects in Cambodia involving a bit of alcohol, a rock concert, and the generosity of thousands of regular people who want to make a difference in the world while they party it up. Two years ago, the first Drinks 4 Drinks concert event started as a small idea with a modest fundraising goal, it totally blew up into a stellar event that brought in over $250,000 to serve the needs of people around the world who have no access to clean drinking water. The photos in this post are from that memorable night two years ago, and you can see more photos of the original Drinks 4 Drinks event here.

This year’s event is less than 2 weeks away, and tickets are on sale now. It is expected to sell out, so if you’d like to be part of the fun, don’t wait to grab yours. You’ll also find out more about the focus of this year’s campaign on the Drinks 4 Drinks website. It’s not to be missed!

For general information about the global water crisis, I recommend the resources on Charity:Water’s website. This is an important issue to be educated about, and despite how big a challenge it seems, you and I can make a difference if we choose to! Hope to see you there!
