168 Project

On February 21st we had the opportunity to use our newly purchased 5D mark II for a short film. For those of you that do not know the Canon 5D mark II shoots 1080p video in additional to taking beautiful pictures. Our friend and director Ian Eyre approached us a few months before bringing up the prospect of making this film once we expressed our interest in purchasing the 5D mark II. Rustin also helped out with the shoot and the footage comes from both our cameras. Here is our short film called “Joesph’s Wheel of Destiny”.

The film was nominated for a few awards which was amazing.

Clayton & Katie

Clayton and Katie are planning a spring wedding, and a while back we had the awesome opportunity to capture some engagement images for them. They’re big fans of Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles, and the lured us there for their pictures. Lucky for us, they have friends with rooftop access, and a terrific view! These images were so fun to create and obviously full of love! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding Clayton & Katie!

Awaken Zambia Day – The Grand Finale

Ok. So this was quite possibly the most hilarious session we’ve ever done. Homer (in the football jersey) thought it would be fun to bring along all his best pals for a session commemorating their brotherhood, and it led to all kinds of silliness. These guys have built longstanding friendships amongst themselves, and I think these images tell you that they’ve found a great balance of serious business and too much fun. Thanks for participating in the fundraiser guys! You were certainly a highlight of the day for us! This rounds out all of the sessions from this very busy day! Thanks for hanging in there with us!

Awaken Zambia Day – Hom Family

What is better than one adorable asian baby? TWO adorable asian babies! I loved being able to meet this family, even though the little ones weren’t too sure they wanted their picture taken. We tried all the tricks, and the happiness was hidden away somewhere, but even without the smiles we hoped for, these sweet little girls melted my heart.

Awaken Zambia Day – Stockburger Family

This family was so fun! By this point in the day, we had several families show up at one time, so Kolby took this one solo, and I’m so impressed with his work. Of course, these kids seem to have enough personality to make any picture great, but he sure captured them well!

Awaken Zambia Day – A Family Affair

Well friends, we’re coming up on our last few sessions from the day we spent raising money for Mosaic’s Awaken Zambia team that will be training educators at an orphanage in Zambia later this year. This adorable couple is expecting a little girl any day now, and I think they’re excited! I love to see how couples bond during the months before they meet their babies, and this couple seemed to be especially excited to be welcoming a girl into their little family. Congratulations J & R! All the best with your birth!
